Transparent type glass DIN 7081
Borosilicate Transparent level gauge glasses MAXOS
Description:
Transparent type glass DIN 7081 made under trademark MAXOS. Transparent glasses DIN 7081 used for liquid level indicators. Reflex glass for level indicator is a rectangular glass plate with rounded edges. One of its viewing surfaces - is smooth and the other surface has prismatic risks. Due to the risks, there is a complete internal reflection of light, and the liquid level is clearly visible.
MAXOS glasses made of SUPRAX® 8488 borosilicate glass. Maximum resistance to temperature changes is attained by means of low thermal expansion and additional thermal pre-stressing of high uniformity.
The brand MAXOS owned by a German company Auer Lighting GbmH. Previously, the brand MAXOS belonged to a group SHOTT*.
*Friedrich Otto Schott (1851-1935) was a German chemist, glass technologist, and the inventor of borosilicate glass. In 1884, in association with Dr Ernst Abbe and Carl Zeiss, Otto founded Glastechnische Laboratorium Schott & Genossen (Schott & Associates Glass Technology Laboratory) in Jena.
